日本の眼鏡づくりにおいて、独自に受け継がれてきた素材“サンプラチナ”。今では、ほとんど使われることがなく、チタンが主流になっています。この失われつつある素材を、代々続く“手曲げの技法”で扱っている職人にフレームを製作依頼。チタンにはない手で曲げられるという特性を最大限に活かし、細かいデザインや仕様を追求しています。
あえてメッキやカラーリングをせず、無垢の素材を使用しています。フレームラインだけで勝負するこだわりの一本です。職人が手がける上質で、手作りならではの温もりを感じて下さい。
従来のRD1Sシリーズをベースに、鼻に当たる部分をクリングス仕様にした眼鏡です。クリングス仕様にすることで、様々な方にかけて頂きやすくなっています。シンプルかつクラシックなデザインですが、ブリッジがアクセントとなり、今までにないバランス感はどこか目新しさも覚えます。
クラシックながら、今までに見たことのない眼鏡をお探しの方におすすめの眼鏡です。

Designed by Takahashi, the owner of this store, Sekkakudo, Mr.Riichi Sakamoto, a long experienced craftsman working in Sabae city, Toyama prefecture, the mecca of eye wears, crafted this model one by one with utmost care ,applying a traditional "Temage (manual bending)" technique, using Sanplatinum metal (Japanese original white color alloy of Ni 85%、 Cr 11%,Ag, and others) having been used since before the introduction of titanium.
Without giving metallic coating and coloration, this makes use of solid material . You may touch and feel warmth of high quality craftsman work.

This is revised version of the previous RD1S models, with clings on nose pad added. These clings make it much easier for wider range of people to wear. With simple and classical design, however, the bridge bring out unprecedented balance.
It will suit those seeking not only classical but unusual glasses.
